This handmade accordian book is a record of my first trip to New York in October 2017, an experience I look back on as one of the best of my life. A collection of my photographs, sketches and mementos make up this diary. I hoped to capture the feeling New York impressed upon me which is why I chose to focus on the small moments of the trip that looking back always end up being the big ones.
Smiles between strangers, hearing only the birds in Central Park and morning light caught between skyscrapers are some of my small moments in the big city.
